Brian Heater - Klamath Falls, Oregon
During high school Brian maintained a dream of becoming a professional musician. Brian plays the saxophone. He is studying music at the University of Oregon enrolled in the Jazz Studies track. Brian’s goal is to earn a masters degree in music. His longer-term goals are to live in New York and become a studio musician.
Mohammed Al-Karawi - Bagdad, Iraq
Mohammed is a student at the University of Nevada, Los Vegas majoring in political science and electrical engineering.
Veton Zhubi – Peje, Kosovo
Veton completed a Master of Science in Global Affairs degree at Rutgers University, New Jersey in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Finance at St Cloud State University, Minnesota. Veton lives in South Brunswick, New Jersey.
Ilir Hasko – Tirana, Albania
Ilir has completed a Master of Science and Information Technology degree at Daniels School of Business, University of Denver, Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree (business administration, management) at Bemidji State University, Bemidji, Minnesota. He is presently employed as an IT Director of Enterprise Information Technology Services, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
Ibrahim Al-Hajiby - Sana’a, Yemen
Ibrahim is studying international relations at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MN. He wants to contribute towards a better Yemen; Ibrahim has done volunteer work with NGOs in Yemen including AMIDEAST, 4U Computer and Language Institute, and Center for Human (Insan) Development. Andrew Galaway, New Brighton, Minnesota
Andy earned a masters degree in social work, University of Minnesota. He is a co-founder of the Galaway Foundation and presently serves as President. Andy has 10 years experience in child welfare services including child protection for a rural Minnesota county and with private child foster care agencies in Nevada and Colorado. He is a founding member of WhimSpire, a licensed Colorado child placement agency.
Burt Galaway – Westminster, Colorado.
Burt is a professor emeritus from the Faculty of Social Work, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He previously was a professor of social work, University of Minnesota School of Social Work. He has done research and published extensively about foster family care, restorative justice, and generalist social work practice. Burt has 27 years experience as a foster parent and has helped organize several treatment foster care agencies.
Nan Galaway – Westminster, Colorado
Nan completed a Bachelor of Religious Education degree before enrolling in the New York School of Social Work, Columbia University, where she completed a Master of Science (social work) degree. Nan was employed by a public foster care agency until her first child was born. For the next 27 years she provided foster family care for 35 teens (mostly boys) and was active in developing private foster care agencies in Minnesota and Colorado. She has served on the boards of PATH in Minnesota and WhimSpire in Colorado. More recently she has enjoyed providing for two international students from Albania and Kosovo. Nan is as an active participate in her local Methodist church, neighborhood bridge groups, and a senior center. She enjoys travel, family, and especially Leroy Brown, her resident canine.

Ilir currently holds a senior managerial position with the Enterprise Information Technology Services department of the University of Georgia. Ilir leads the Application Solutions Group and is heading the Application Architecture and Data integration effort for the University of Georgia. He serves on the board of directors
for CommonWorks, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Karla Moore – Penrose, Colorado
Karla holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She has worked in the human services industry since 1993 serving as executive director for a private non profit child placement agency. Karla lives in Penrose, Colorado with her husband, dogs, and horses. She enjoys country living, especially riding her horses, reading, and visiting with family and friends.

He recently moved back to New Jersey with his family from Canada and is volunteering with various NGO's and in the near future he is planning to get his PHD in Political Science.
